Twice a month I set projects for students details are below, weeks inbetween are for students to set their own projects.

Still Life in any coloured medium of your choice.

Any coloured medium/equipment

Drapery, 1hr project in pastels and 1hr project in acrylics

Pastels and acrylics, suitable paper A4 size is fine.

Animals in either Pastels or Water colours, please feel free to bring a image of a animal or use image from Kim’s collection.

Pastel or Water colours – correct paper type and suitable equipment.

Friday 21st June -
 SPECIAL FULL DAY OPTION
You may stay all day if you wish (£5 per session): 10am – 12pm and then afternoon session is 1pm – 3pm

Pencil Portraits (may wish to buy some graphite powder off Kim).
Start with a close up of an eye, then move onto full facial.

 

Smooth white paper A3, pencils HB (if you have these than bring them -2B/4B/2H), sharpener, and rubber (standard and putty).

Mythological Art works: Exploring the artists listed below, students can either copy or create their own art work exploring a mythological story.

Edward Burne-Jones, John William Waterhouse, Edward Robert Hughes.

A3 Cartridge paper, acrylics, brushes, paints, palette and water pot.

Life Drawing: Mixed media, painting on collage.
Inspirational Artists:
Magalie Ors, Kim Frohsin.

A2 cartridge paper, coloured papers, scissors, glue, brushes, acrylics, palette, water pot.

Landscapes in Watercolour, build up a stunning landscape in gentle watercolour shades. Ariel perspective will be covered, so bring some pencils and paper to make notes.

Watercolour paper, Watercolours, brushes, palette, gum Arabic (optional), masking fluid and washing up liquid, pencil and rubber along with ruler.

Weeks in between are for your own project

Exploring Watercolours, plan, draw and paint: Taking inspiration from the artist listed below, students will choose a photo to make a watercolor painting from, planning the necessary steps to accurately represent the scene.

Inspirational artists: Hazel Soan, Iain Stewart, Kate Oosborne, Graham Berry.

Watercolour paper, 2B pencil, masking fluid, washing up liquid, water colours, brushes, palette.

Animals in ink and pencil.
A study of an animal using a mixture of black ink and Pencil drawing.

A3 Cartridge paper, 2B or HB pencil, rubber, sharpener, brushes and bottle of ink with water pot/palette. Kim will have ink for sale if you wish to purchase some.

Monday 19th August –

Water; Reflections and Translucency: Glass Jam-jar with brush.

Working in any of the following mediums: watercolours/ ink/acrylics, students will build up realistic representations of a jam-jar of water with a paint brush.

A3 Cartridge paper, acrylics/ink/watercolours, brushes, paints, palette and water pot.

Weeks in between are for your own project
